What to do in October

This is a Good Month to let parents know about the upcoming JHS/HS application process.

Finalize any budget / Fundraising approvals

By Now you should have your Title 1 Committee / PAC set. A first meeting should be held by 10/31

Attend any Title 1 training given to learn the updated role of the parents association concerning Title 1.

Remember to have your first Quarterly with your principal (PPL - Principal Parent Leader Meeting)

Some schools have these monthly but it is necessary to have an official quarterly one listed on the G-1 form. This meeting must have official minutes and attendance sheets.

Remind your principal that the G-1 is due by
October 30th

Ensure you have a schedule for your PA/PTA Executive Board, General & Principal Parent Leader Meetings. Give your principal a copy (as well as all your members).
The President of the association signs the G-1 along with the Principal and it gets submitted to Parent Support and your LIS.
